Can two Linux use the same swap partition?  RSS feed

I already have a Mandrake installed and want to load Debian. Can I assign Mandrake's swap partition to Debian directly without any further configuration?

I guess you can, if you reboot between changing versions. I don't think Linux assumes that there is anything particular in the swap space when it starts up.
