www.workbrain.com Working within the Research & Development teams, the Architect will be responsible for directing software and product architecture for Workbrain.
Job Description
� Direct software architecture resources to participate in the design process with the development teams.
� Direct product architecture resources to analyze and review requirements with the development teams.
� Participate in the construction of key modules and infrastructure.
� Support Sales and Professional Services teams with technical presentations and white papers.
� Lead the creation of new product design requirements documents.
� Provide Documentation team with content for internal and customer facing documents.
� Lead the selection of tools and technologies for development.
� Approve all core product designs.
� Lead migration of new platforms, databases and technologies.
� Evaluate performance of direct reports.
� Lead performance
testing and enhancements for the product.
� Ensure the proper management of subcontractors
Requirements
� Minimum of 6 years experience Java development
� Minimum of 3 years experience of
J2EE Web Application Development
� In-depth knowledge of at least one major application server (Weblogic, WebSphere, Oracle, etc.)
� In-depth knowledge of database management systems
� Good working knowledge of UNIX and NT
� Proven track record of successful management of resources and timelines
� Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written a must
� University degree in Computer Science or related field
