Does anybody know if this will work?
I tried to install the Enterprise development kit on Windows 98 only to find that it isn't designed to run on 98. Rather than pay for Windows 2000 pro, I thought about purchasing one of those new wal-mart computers that run on Linux Lindows. They are only $300.
Here are the specs.

Does any have any info on this??? I'm not really not much of a hardware/OS guy so any advice you have would be appreciated.
Could/Should I install red hat on it if I buy it?

It's easir to just forget about the Windows part and do your J2EE stuff under Linux.
Sun doesn't love Microsoft so much that it's really any easier on a Windows platform.
And that way you won't have to discover what parts of Windows isn't fully supported by Lindows.
