Hello,
I am running Linux (Red Hat 7.3)... I downloaded these particular files from http://www.mysql.com:
1. MySQL-3.23.51-1.i386.rpm
2. MySQL-bench-3.23.51-1.i386.rpm
3. MySQL-client-3.23.51-1.i386.rpm
4. MySQL-devel-3.23.51-1.i386.rpm
5. MySQL-shared-3.23.51-1.i386.rpm
into my /tmp directory as user "root"
I, then, typed this from the command line:
rpm --install MySQL*.rpm
Luckily, I only got one error! Which states:
error: failed dependencies:
MySQL-DBI-perl-bin is needed by MySQL-bench-3.23.51-1
I couldn't find this particular file: "MySQL-DBI-perl-bin" anywhere from the download page:
http://www.mysql.com/downloads/mysql-3.23.html
What should I do? Should I uninstall mysql? If so, how do I uninstall it? Do I have to find that particular file? Where would I find it? Any suggestions, and I would be very grateful...
-Unnsse
