Hi Friends,
I am running Cygwin on Windows XP.
(ok, dont frown, this is in an effort to get used to Linux b4 i switch)
Well, do i need a separate jdk to do my java dev on Cygwin?
If i cd to /cygdrive/c/jdk/bin , which is my windows jdk installation,
i can run java , but i cant seem to run javac, it responds that command can not be found.
Any help would be most appreciated.
thanking in advance.
Sunny

Have you got JAVA_HOME variable set to the jdk directory?

thanks Adam,
i think i have got it working now. I should have been able to figure it out sooner. just a mental block , cause it is unknown territory.
