I'm new to linux and just installed rh8. In the initial config settings I chose the wrong mouse. The install went perfect and now when I startx to the gui screens I can not use my USB mouse. Can someone tell me how to fix this problem. Thanks.

/etc/sysconfig/mouse
would be where I'd go first. Has an entry for the x mouse type.

Take a look at the /etc/X11/XF86Config and /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 files for the mouse setup under GUI (X Windows). /etc/sysconfig/mouse is a RedHat-specific file and I would suspect it's used by the gpm (command-line) mouse service, though it may propagate into X. Also, it's possible that an alias device link (/dev/mouse) was setup. If you're REALLY lucky, changing that will suffice.
