I am encountering a strange error message which is preventing me from loggin in to the console . I go to enter a username and recieve the following error meessage: "tmchild: exec service failed, errno=2" This is the problem related to Solaris OS. Any solution to this problem will be of great help. Thanks in Advanced. Rahul Mayane.
Yeesh. The exec service's job is to load a program file into a process map. The parent process uses the fork service to get this all started. If exec is failing, it is most likely a problem with the program being exec'd. I remember a similar problem a buddy of mine had, trying to 'port' an x86 Solaris program to SPARC Solaris. Unfortunately his idea of porting was ftp'ing the file from one machine to the other. [ December 23, 2002: Message edited by: Michael Ernest ]
