hi,
I am a newbie to linux. Recently, i had been trying to setup a wireless lan using D-Link DWL-500, install on RedHat 8.0 platform. And i had download this 2 modules, which are require for this installation. Pcmcia-cs and linux-wlan-ng-0.1.16-pre2
The problem is, every time when i boot up. It will give me this error message,

cardmgr version don't match.
And i had been trying for about a week now. I hope someone can drop me a hint to solve this problem.
cheers,
Jason

i tried to set up a wireless network on a redhat 7.2 installation last year, but i did not get it to work with the modules you listed above. i did not research it any further.
you might find what you need on Redhat's website...

also, a friend told me about his wireless network on a redhat 8.0 installation... he said that he has random failures and he has to reboot for the network to work again.
