I was wondering if it is possible if I could have a program autoexecute by calling its name? I wanted to write a java program and place it in /usr/local/bin/. Is this possible to make it an autoexecutable?

Put the classes someplace like /usr/local/lib/myapp.jar, then write a shellscript like

Call the script "MyApp". Make the script executable and put it in /usr/local/bin. There you go!
