Hello there!

Specifications:

CPU: AMD Athlon XP 2000+
Motherboard: ASUS A7V8X-X
RAM: 512 DDR RAM
Video: GeForce2 MX 64 MB
NIC: 3Com 3c509 Ethernet Card
NIC: Realtek 10/100 Mbps Ethernet PHY
Hard Drive: 80 GB 7200 RPM ATA-100
Case: Lian-Li PC-5

I installed Fedora Core 1 and it was able to detect my NIC card on eth0!

My problem:

I have hooked up the Linux box to my monitor, keyboard, & mouse using a KVM... When I login to Windows XP and then switch to Linux, I am able to move my mouse for a couple of seconds and then the operating system freezes and I am forced to reboot... How can I prevent this from happening?

In addition, I use a router to connect to the a cable modem... Because of this a NAT address is assigned to my card... How do I find the IP address for this machine?

With thanks,

Unnsse
