Java Developer (Client-side) (3009-05)
Project Description: Become a contributing developer on an exciting team on an emergent solution integral to national security. The system, a Remote Desktop Cross Domain Solution, enables a custom Java based client to communicate through a custom Remote Desktop Guard with a commercially available terminal server (Citrix and/or Microsoft). The custom Java remote desktop will have the ability to access a variety of applications, including teleconferencing, located on the terminal server.
Job Description: As a key team member you will be responsible for adding multimedia support and security to a custom Java based thin-client. The application requires incorporating many different portions of Java, such as Java Media Framework (JMF) for audio and video, Java Authentication and Authorization Services (JAAS) and Java Secure Socket Extension (JSSE). A good grasp of security concepts are desired. The ideal candidate is one that wishes to push the boundaries of cutting edge Java applications, likes to drive projects, has a can-do attitude and delivers.
Required Skills: Min 5 years Java development experience in client-side applications. Individual must have developed in a team environment with such Java tools as
ANT, CruiseControl,
JUnit. Experience developing SSL/TLS or any PKI infrastructure a plus. Experience in the development of multimedia applications a plus. Experience with military or intelligence community environments a plus.
Education: Bachelor�s degree in computer science, electrical or computer engineering
Location: This full-time position located in Annapolis Junction, MD.
