Hi,

I installed Mandrake 9.2 a while back and I forgot my Administator password. I s there anyway I can get into the OS to reset the password. I am unable to get into anything at all. Is there a default user account I can use just to get in and reset my password?

Please help

Thanks.

no default account, but a runlevel - 'S'.
does it mean superuser, or single user?

However, if you boot via lilo, add a S to the bootoption manually and boot into singleusermode.
call passwd, and use a password you will not forget again.
I suggest 'fathima'.
reboot.

For grub bootloader it should be similar.
