Hi Folk,
could you please tell me if there's J2EE SDK 1.4 for Linux RedHat 9? I am having trouble locating it if there's one which I am sure there should be. Also, what's difference between RedHat and RedHat Enterprise Linux?thanks.

jdk1.4.2_03 from java.sun.com. For that matter, Java 5's out now. You can download it as an RPM for RedHat systems or as a bin for Linux systems in general.

Red Hat is the name of the company. Red Hat Enterprise Linux is one of their products. Right now, I believe the lines they offer are Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat Advanced Server (RHAS) and a workstation edition they added about 2 months back.

Older products such as Red Hat 9 are no longer supported. That particular distribution type has been replaced by the non-commercial Fedora distros.
