How many providers of Linux are available in the market.I am doing an evaluation... need help.

in Europe, probably SuSE. in North America, more likely Red Hat. in other parts of the world, i don't know.

There are a few Linux certification awards, they cover the common features. LPIC. For the USA you will be better to learn RedHat (Fedora). Fedora Project
