This is a contract to perm requirement. Only candidates willing to convert to FT after 6 months need apply. We will convert H1 sponsored candidates.

Define, design, and implement complex, multi-tier distributed software applications. Segment and design system layers to support componentized and layered application development, including application programming interface (API), user interface, business functionality, and database access.
* Work with other engineers, managers, Product Management, QA, and Operations teams to develop innovative solutions that meet market needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules, and adherence to development goals and principles.
* Estimate engineering effort, plan implementation, and rollout system changes.
* Must be able to independently design, code and test major features, as well as work jointly with other team members to deliver complex changes.
* Develop industry and product technical expertise.
Job Requirements
* BS/BA in CS or related field.
* 5+ years experience in requirements analysis, design, coding and unit testing of scalable, distributed, fault-tolerant applications in NT and UNIX environments.
* Expertise in object-oriented design methodology and application development in C++, Java, relational databases (prefer Oracle), and XML/XSL/XSLT.
* Working knowledge of ISAPI,
J2EE, HTML and basic NT/UNIX system administration.
* Proven results oriented person with a delivery focus.
Would be nice to have:
web-based development, billing systems and e-commerce experience
