spam detection with sendmail  RSS feed

can any body tell me what i have to do to prevent spams with sendmail...And if you can guide me how i can use that in Java application to customize spam detection(like user can mark the email as a spam which is not filtered by sendemail spam detection and other stuff)...any information will be appreciated...

I presume you mean receiving. For that SpamAssassin's a popular solution. It features a Bayesian algorithm that learns from spam as well as a wealth of customization options that you can use to allow/block various different types of spam (or spam-like) messages.

SendMail contains features designed to keep an intruder from using your computer as a spam sending relay, but these days they're turned on by default.

Thnks Tim...But my major goal is to retrieve the spam messages and put that in to spam directory ..where should i look for that ... do u know any script that retrieves it and gives
