Need Help to install java5 on Redhat linux 9

Hi,

I am totally new to linux, can anyone let me know how to install java5 on rehat linux 9 , and how to work with java on linux like setting path and any other environment variables if necessary.

Red Hat Linux 9 has been unsupported for four years now. You should upgrade to a supported distribution so you can get current with bug fixes and security updates.
The J2SE 5 Release Notes have instructions for installing. Of course, Red Hat Linux 9 is not a supported system configuration.
