Hurff-Webb has an exciting contract opportunity for a BEA Weblogic Architect in a large Fortune 500 firm here in Jacksonville. We are in need of a talented application integrator and problem solver to work side-by-side with development teams and system administration groups. This Senior Weblogic Architect position requires expert level skills with the following tools and technologies:
* Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) * BEA Weblogic Server 8.x Server * iPlanet Web Server 6.x * F5 BigIP * Netegrity Siteminder
Experience with tools like Wily Introscope and Mercury Sitescope is a plus. Current or previous development experience is very valuable. Understanding of CMM and Six Sigma is a plus.
Duties include build out of new environments, systems architecture and design, support regression and performance testing activities, change control process, mentoring skills, triage, contingency and disaster recovery activities. A strong UNIX (Sun Solaris 8 & 9) familiarity including shell scripting (ksh, csh, perl, etc) is a must. Also, on-call responsibilities will exist and the candidate will be required to perform general operational activities like server administration and management.
