Hi Folks,
I am Printing a Window text by using javascript,
The Code is Running well on Windows (IE,NN), MAC X (Camino,Mozilla etc.)
But is not working properly on Mac OS 9.0. If once, I initiate the printer by simple HTML file including window.print(), after that my code start working properly.
what may be the problem ?
//code
document.write();
document.close();
parent.framename.focus();
parent.framename.print();

You might get more responses if you were to point out what browser and version you were using under OS 9.
Bear in mind that any OS 9 browser is probably pretty old at this point and is unlikely to up-to-date with regards to standards support.
In fact (though I cannot confirm it with the resources at hand) I think that window.print() may not be part of the standard, and you will find that support for it across browsers will be spotty, even in up-to-date browsers.

I am Trying to Do this on Mac OS 9.2 and the Browser is Mozilla 1.1b.
Trhis is happening on Product, so the browser will be Mozilla only.

Oh atleast I am not the only person having this problem. The code window.print() runs well on Windows IE, but fails in MAC. I have tried several options and websites but all in vain. Most of the help sites say that this does works on MAC IE and we can check it by adding the code:
if (window.print)
window.print();
else
alert("Sorry, the browser does not support this feature");

Of course, I found a very beautiful couch. Definitely. And this tiny ad:
