Not really, although apparently Tiger will be available on the next edition of OS X.

How appropriate; Tiger (codename for JDK 1.5) available on Tiger (code name for OS X 10.4).

I remember a competion my computer club had in the '60 or '70s. The first thing each special interest group had to do was build a Core Wars interpretor for their platform. Today we can use Java for all platforms. And have a nice GUI to show the battle. It think the instructions were in Scientific American. My suggestion would be to build the program that runs the core programs. Anyone interested?
