I clicked on my bookmark for javaranch and it took a full 20 seconds before the dns got resolved and javaranch page showed in safari. But after that the subsequent clicks are at normal pace. Somewhere I read this update has a new version of lookupd and is expected to browse faster.

I am on wireless as my ethernet port is broken and so cannot test on ethernet.

Anyone having similar experiences?

Nope. Don't notice any difference one way or the other.

My DNS lookups are slower, but they do now work. 10.3.6 had some weird problem where I would get host not found the first time I visited a domain. This seems to have been fixed, but I do see the slowness at times.

You are right. 10.3.6 had that double dip dns issue. To fix that I had entered some dns servers in my network configuration.

After 10.3.7, yesterday I removed the dns servers from my configuration and now sites load pretty fast. So far I have not experienced any double dip dns problems. Now I can also happily join the legions of 10.3.7ers who seem to be enjoying a snappier system !!
