Hi

I'm a newbie when it comes to Mac OS. I have a java version "1.4.2_07"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.2_07-215)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.2-50, mixed mode) on Tiger (Mac OS 10.3).

I'm encountering The following NPE for a Threaded GUI under random cirumstances. What makes me worried is the fact that do not encounter NPE's when I run the same program on Mac OS 10.2 with Java 1.4.2.

I know its really weird case but I would like to ask forum members foll:
1> Has encountered similar problems?
2> If so any workarounds, fixes, solutions?
3> Does the JDK, JRE for previous Mac OSes have similar issues
4> Is there any other forum/websites that can help me better?

Any help dearly appreciated

Never encountered an error such as this (don't write GUI programs), but you wrote:

on Tiger (Mac OS 10.3).

Tiger is 10.4. Panther is 10.3.

You might want to clear up which version you are running so as not to confuse others who might be able to chime in with some help.

Bear & other Ranchers,

Extremely sorry for such a blatant mistake... I'm encountering the NPE errors on Tiger 10.4 ..(The problem being I write my code on intel box with RH Linux 8.3...)... I'm trying to run the same on Tiger with JDK 1.4.2

Hope now somebody will be able to make some suggestions

Thanks
R

Actually it was a thread scheduling error. more to do with the programmer rather than OS [mac or otherwise]
