Maybe this is better suited to the Mac OSX forum, but considering that I'm new at java, it may be that the solution here is more of a beginner java question.

I'm trying to run Jive Messenger on Mac. I've installed the JDK 5.0, but I keep getting these results when I try and run the "messenger" install script:

No suitable Java Virtual Machine could be found on your system.
The version of the JVM must be at least 1.5.
Please define INSTALL4J_JAVA_HOME to point to a suitable JVM.
You can also try to delete the JVM cache file /Users/Brandon/.install4j

I've also tried using the "java messenger" command, to point it to the JVM, but then I get this classic line:

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: messenger

any thoughts?

Bear,

Thanks again for the link. I tried it out this morning, but I'm still getting the same results.
