i use a mac at home and pc at school. i am new to java and programming. i would like to run the editor (crimson editor) we use at school on my mac. how might i get that done?

Welcome to JavaRanch!

I had never heard of Crimson editor, but I checked their website and it looks like it's only for Windows. A really nice freeware editor for Mac is Text Wranger from Bare Bones. (Note that once you install it, you will need to set the language to "Java" so it recognizes the correct syntax.)

By the way, we have a forum specifically for Mac topics, so I'll move this thread there for you...
