Although I'm addicted on Apple stuffs but there is a problem.
You don't know what is the right time to get an Apple gadget, they always releases a newer and sexier version of your machine (in a small intervals, making you feel that your previous stuff is really out of date).

Trying to predict Apple's next move is an industry unto itself. The most strategic thing to do is simply buy the gadget that's right for you based on what's available when you need the gadget.

Apple is ahead of the curve anyway, so I don't feel that older stuff is "out of date." Their pace of innovation just means that when you're ready to upgrade, there will be plenty of good choices. (And you can't really say that about PCs.) My PowerBook G4 is just as cool and powerful as it was last summer. Sure, I'm looking forward to getting a MacBook Pro; but until then, I have a great computer that's continuing to prove itself an incredible value.

Same here, Macs just seem to stay viable longer than their PC bretheren. I have a number of older Mac systems, one an iMac dating from 1999, that are still running strong.

The mini got an upgrade too. But considering the cost of the new iMac's I have to say that the higher spec mini looks like a bad deal to me...

I am waiting to drop the money for a new 17" MBP but they keep holding off
