- so now I have a firewire card in the pcmcia slot. It's traveled around the world a couple of times - crammed into various incarnations of backpacks, satchels, and briefcases and getting x-rayed, scanned and dropped countless times. Now, it's starting to manifest some quirky behaviors (go figure), like sleeping and waking up are erratic, it seems to lose some of its preferences, and the USB ports seem to notice their devices erraticly (?). Spot false dilemmas now, ask me how!
