Responsibilities
� Support sales of ASG integrated metadata solutions:
- Manage RFI and RFP technical answers
- Present and demo all the products of our offerings
- Present the global solution architecture, and its benefits
- Perform pilot presales projects
� Develop a high level of expertise around metadata solutions
� Serve as the focal point for all technical issues and questions on assigned accounts
� Communicate with the Solution Architects and Product Manager to define new solution or product improvements
Requirements
� Pre-sales experience in a software company or equivalent is desired
� Solid background in legacy technologies (preferred MVS/Cobol/DB2/Cics) or in new technologies (preferred Java/XML/
J2EE Application Servers). Having background in both is desirable.
� Proven ability to develop web application components using
Java,
JSP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML/XMI, and XSLT as well as application servers (WebSphere, WebLogic, and
JBoss).
� Good understanding of metadata (application and data oriented) theory (OMG-MOF would be a plus)
� Good understanding of development methods (Procedural, OO, SOA) as well as XML, XMI, WS related standards
� Good technical knowledge of relational databases (Oracle or DB2 or SQL Server) -- proven ability in creating SQL queries including complex joins is desireable.
� Ability to install and administer applications on Windows and UNIX servers. Windows batch and UNIX bash/sh shell scripting experience desirable
� The will and the capacity to learn new languages and environments is essential
� Ability to multi-task in support of multiple Account Executives and sales opportunities.
� Ability to handle most customer meetings independently
� Experience with the following technologies
o Rochade� (desired)
o Becubic� (desired)
o MS Office� (required)
o CASE Tools (required)
� Familiarity with one or more of the following highly desired:
o CWM, XMI
o UML and/or ER Modeling
o Visual Basic and/or .net programming
� Excellent writing (RFI/RFP responses), communication, and presentation skills.
o Equally effective in one-to-one and group settings
o Ability to deliver formal presentations at different levels within an organization
o Strong ability to listen to business needs, identify desired outcomes and craft comprehensive solutions while building credibility in relationships.
Travel
Frequent (as much as 4 days per week); short notice.
Education
Bachelor Degree required, Advanced Degree preferred
