Major Investment Bank based in Stamford, CT is seeking a Senior Java Developer for the Interest Rate Derivatives IT group. This role will work in a highly visible and strategic project and the responsibilities will involve developing systems to support STP (Straight-Through Processing) via SwapsWire and other trading platforms.
The successful candidate will combine hands on experience in interest rates derivatives and information technology with an ability to effectively set and manage an agenda in a global institution. The role requires excellent client interaction skills, an extremely strong technical background and the ability to work productively as part of a globally distributed development team.
Job Requirements: A Bachelors Degree, preferably computer science related. Strong Core Java Developer. Experience using and writing XML. FPML experience a plus. Knowledge of fixed income securities and/or derivatives highly desirable. Knowledge of trade lifecycle settlement, etc. of OTC fixed income derivatives desirable. Experience developing trading systems for Interest Rates Derivatives highly desirable. Experience developing with relational databases is required. Experience developing within UNIX and/or Linux platforms is required, and experience within Windows is desired. Experience with J2EE platforms required. WebSphere and/or WebSphere Studio Application Developer (WSAD) experience a plus. SOAP/WebServices experience required. JMS experience required. Tibco EMS and/or WebMethods experience a plus. Experience in working with CORBA, other messaging technologies is desirable. Experience with both Linux and Solaris highly desirable.
