You might try using DHTML and an HTML TABLE element. You can register events on the individual cells that would cause the inserting or deleting of the sub-link cells in between.

i read an article about doing that not long ago(so it was probly a javascript article). you could do it with an applet as well. i have an applet that displays a choice so when you click the button the list drops down and you choose. i found it at javaboutique then i modified it to open the link in a new window instead. I can give you my version if you want or you could get the original one that opens the link in the same window at http://javaboutique.internet.com/

Hi! You should do what Randall tells you. Use dhtml. Hope you know that netscape and explorer gets the layerproperties in diffrent ways. If you don't please replay and I will tell you.
a short description

this should do the trick. Now you should build up some methods to move layer and so on. Be glad to help if you need some! Note! To access netscape 6 you should use the

instead. Now there is another tecnique you could use. Writing it form the frameset or another frame. Then if you click let's say the + image in you menu then you should go. parent.menu.paint() or something like that. By using this tecnique you don't get the difficult task of making a own scrollbar. If you expand the menu and you go down the frames margins then some of your alternetives in your menu may be hidden. Of course you don't write it in a layer from your framset or frame. You should use document.write( your code );
Well if you need help let me know and maybe I could help.
