Disable an image

Dear Friends,
I am facing an problem in my Jsp page.
In some forms i am able to disable an image.But in most forms I am not able to do it.
Though disable is not the property of image.Sometimes it disables it.
Can u pl throw light on this.

What are you talking about disabling an image....is the image a submit button?? just wondering!

But the question still stands, are you talking about an image (ie <img src=...) and you want to hide it, or are you talking about an image as an input tag (ie <input type="image" src=...) and you want to disable the input?
It may be clear to you, but Al and I are confused. Can we get some more info or some sample code or something?
