On a JSP page with html ,i called a JavaScript
function on clicking a button .The function opens
a sub-window like This :
var subRef=window.open('subWindow.jsp','name',..);
Now,i want to populate a frame in the newly opened window,when the page is first loaded by using some parameters from the the parent window to run a query which populates the frame on the sub-window on first loading the page.
All kind of help wil be appreciated.Cheers.

LOL...using all of the forums you can get your hands on I see.
I know for a reg. html page you would just do

WindowName.document.FormName.ElementName="blah"
not 100% sure that would work with the jsp page.

Guys i need to make my logic clearer.It goes;
On the parent page,i have some buttons and
an IFrame . The IFrame contains a table (with a radio button column) populated by running a db query using some parameters available in the user session.
On checking on the radio button
and clicking another button ,a Javascript
function is called,which does the following:
a.opens a window ,stores it's reference in a variable for use
b.reads all cells in the row selected in the IFrame(on parent window)
c.Populates 2 textfields on sub-window with
cell data on selected row on parent iframe. NOW,the sub-window also has an IFrame which
needs to be populated by running a database query and populating the sub-window IFrame
on first loading the sub-window since all parameters needed for db query (sub window IFrame) are available on selecting a row on the parent window IFrame.
All ideas are welcomed.Cheers.
