The Sr. Web Developer is a technical leader within a development team, providing mentoring and guidance to other
Java developers within the team in the support of the design and build of scalable, secure web-based applications. The Sr. Web Developer is self-directed, able to design and construct systems with little or no technical guidance.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
8+ years experience in software development of complex systems.
Minimum of 4 years experience with
J2EE including
JSP,
Servlets, EJB,
JDBC, HTML, Weblogic, Oracle, SQL.
Desired experience: XML/XSL,
Ant, CVS,
Junit, HttpUnit,
Struts, JMS, Web Services
Experience applying Design
Patterns.
Experience with UML design and experience using modeling tools(TogetherJ).
Experience developing highly scalable web applications.
Be able to accurately provided work estimates and deliver projects on schedule.
Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to mentor, have strong analytical and technical documentation skills.
Development experience on UNIX platforms, preferably using Solaris, BEA Weblogic and Oracle.
Very high personal standards with regard to structured and commented code.
Healthcare application experience (preferred).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Designing, implementing,
testing and supporting J2EE applications and documenting design ideas.
Lead or contribute to code reviews and technical design/specifications.
Lead or contribute to development of custom code .
Contribute to the review and analysis of business requirements.
Create, maintain, and present technical documentation to different audiences and levels
Perform technical assessments and sizing.
Work with 3rd party vendor on technical design/specifications, development, testing and deployment to ensure the product meets our requirements.
