Javascript applet communication

I am using javascript applet communication where i display the swing dialog from javascript method.
After showing the dialog when i click ok on the dialog i create the object of JPanel and display it on applet.I have added the key listener to this panel but the events are not getting generated.
Can anybody help me?

this info might be outdated now, but i read that applet to JS only works in Netscape
