anything from
http://www.bild.t-online.de
I cannot visualize opened locally pages. What is the problem? I tried changing encodings, no result. I have files of hundreds KBs but cannot read them
I use MS Windows2000, MS IE5 in Portuguese for downloading. This does not happen with any other site

apparently they have a good scripter working for them. when i save an image it wont show in windows Picture Viewer, have to open in MS paint (ive seen that before) also it manages to pop up a window in spite of my browser setting which disallows unrequested popups.
in other words, because they apparently dont want you saving their pages. you might try right clicking some text in the frame and saving just the frame.

Funny but when I save the html file and right click as say "edit with word" it opens the page normally.
No use but to let you know. lol

thanks Amit and Randall,
1)first of all, to make me sure that it is reproducable and not due to my PCs or to my techniques;
2)for all those hints
It is not just from my usual curiosity but because I have restricted access to Internet and save-as almost everything (just to discover that I filled a few MBs of disquettes with nonreadable stuff)

well if you were to look at the code, you would see that the main page is basically all written with javascript. All of the frames are document.write'd onto the page. You could get that stuff to actually work, but iw would take too long to do. Would have to change all of the document.write stuff to point in the right direction...etc...

Eric,
are you telling about overcomplicated entrance/title page? I am concerned abt separate articles, with text only (subsubentrances). The result is the same.
Then, it is true for any on-line newspaper but only that one gives me trouble
[bold]Why a sight would want to prevent off-line visualization. It is important to understand (to me)[/bold]
Amit,
when I opened those saved-as pages in MS Word, Word crashed (proposing to send me report to MS, what a help) and I lost all RTF-files that were already opened there. Now they are (also) corrupted.
I am using Windows XP, MS Office 97, both in English (but saving from PC with all in Portuguese)

Sorry mate. Didn't mean to do that. But I got coldfusion studio on my computer so I right click on the saved html file and try to edit/see it in coldfusion studio, if there is any thing in the actul code that is stoping it. (some external file that was called or some thing like that)
But then I click on edit with word by mistake and I was can see that page. I DID SAID CLEARLY THAT "NOT MUCH USEFUL IN MY REPLY". If you got problem by following what I said then sorry mate, but you will have to remember that not all days are same and neither computers acts same.
I feel sorry for that lost of your files but when you said "what a help" I felt even bad. MAKE SURE NOT TO FOLLOW ANY THING FROM ME NEXT TIME
All the best,

Amit,
thanks. I didn't expect to make you sorry. Just was surprised by the behaviour, quite unexpactable.
