How to Find the version of java installed in a local machine using javascript. I have an application which runs only on jdk 1.2 and above. I need to check the jdk version if it is less then 1.2 or else i need to display alert message.

well here is the problem, have a solution but it only works in Netscape. IE does not have the ability to read the java version. I believe you need to write an appelt in order to figure out what version it is
netscape code:
<SCRIPT>
var jvm = java.lang.System.getProperty("java.version");
alert(jvm)
</SCRIPT>

Be reasonable. You can't destroy everything. Where would you sit? How would you read a tiny ad?
