Hi,
I am facing a weird problem with browser's back button. My html page is having 2 frames. First frame contains menu items and on click event of these menu's, corresponding pages are opened in 2nd frame. These pages can be PDF file or other html pages. I click on menu link to get PDF form open in 2nd frame and so on. Now if I click on browser's back button to go to previous page (that is PDF form), now onwards frames doesn't work properly. If we click on any of the menu items now, corresponding page is being opened in new window not in second frame. This problem starts occurring only when I go to PDF file using browser's back button.
Thanks in advance.

Frames have a big problem with the back button. I would rec. opening a new window with the pdf instead in the frame. Pain, but it will work

we have specifically that requirement of frames. Actually I am not able to understand the reason why it's happening only when I go to PDF file using back button. If I use back button to go to any other html/jsp, it is working fine. Could there be any specific reason behind this?

All i know is from persoannly experience is that pdf files have a hard time loading due to having to load acrobat. I am not sure why it is causing trouble.
