Well I don't know who "U" is or what he thinks of your problem, but I have found that some graphics programs can produce JPG compressions that, while they may display in some graphics programs, drive browsers bug-house.
How is the JPG being generated? If it's a well-known program like Photoshop, that's probably not the problem. If it's something lesser known, it's JPEG-ing prowess may be suspect.
Have you tried displaying the JPG in multiple browsers, and other graphics programs/viewer?
I assume you are naming the file with the .jpg file type.
