hi all the ranchers and Eric
Actually,I want to ask a question related to Active Server Page(ASP) but I will use JavaScript to write it out.The case is that
Does anyone know how can I automatical update the screen on(one persion),when another persion has clicked the button for submitting the details. It is a event trigger, but not using the timer.
Any resourse or linkage related to that?
thanks

So you are talking about 2 people accessing a page from two different computers.
It is a bit messy, but you are going to have something constantly looking at a database to see if the content changed. There is no real way to have a direct link between the two with a button.
Basically you would have to have a seperate frame watching a database table that tells it that it was changed. The button click can submit a form that would update that table. There is no good way to do it in my experience. In thee future I plan on doing some 2 player games and that is what I thought of.
I program my games in JavaScript and ASP.
I am not sure if I answered your question

My original idea is that using the timer checking for a certain period for update the screen, but I think that it must contain a little bit smart method to do it.
I consider using the global.asa of Application to do it if Application can write some algorithm.

Ar...
Yes,we face the same problem,we need to synchronize the action, but your game need this action complete.
