RESPONSIBILITIES:

WDIG is looking for a Java field engineer to be a part of a close-knit team of developers working on the next generation of the Disney Publishing System. The Publishing System is an internally developed product that is used by web developers and producers throughout the Disney Corporation to manage some of the most trafficked web-sites on the internet. In 2005, the family of WDIG sites was the 12th largest with over 28 million people visiting our sites in a single month.

As the field engineer for the team, you will be the primary point of contact for engineers and producers working on ESPN.com, ABC.com, Disney.com and more. As such, you will answer support calls, travel to Disney offices around the country and help our clients install and upgrade our systems, troubleshoot existing installs, evangelize and give product demos.

You must be a high energy technically adept person who is truly interested in solving problems.

25% travel is required.
QUALIFICATIONS

�BS/BA degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
�5-7 years experience in software development (2-3 in Java)
�3+ years as a field/support engineer

SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED

�Extensive experience with Java and servlets
�Proficient in standard networking protocols such as HTTP, TCPIP/UDP & Multicast
�Experience with system/application debugging
�Content Management and Publishing experience
�Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
�Creative problem solving skills
�Moral courage to make the right things happen for the individuals, the team and for the company
