I am trying to create a scrollable table body, with the column headings remaining fixed. This was no problem using fixed column widths. I just created two tables(one for header, one for body) and put the table that contained the body in a div with overflow.
But now, I need to do this for a table that doesn't have fixed column widths. The table columns must be elastic and resize when the page is resized.
The problem I am having is in trying to keep the header and body columns width in sync. I haven't figured out a way to do this.
Has anyone had experience created a scrollable table body, without setting the column widths to a fixed size?
I would appreciate some advice.
Thanks!

I think she's lovely. It's this tiny ad that called her crazy:
