I want to open a new window and close the opener without asking me if I agree
I need it because I don't want the toolbar and scrollbars
the problem is that in older version of explorer I did find a way to do it.

It is there for a reason, you can not close the window without the warning. There was a trick in IE to do it, but they got rid of the error in the newer versions.
Why are you so afraid of the main window being open? Have a startup page in there, it is no big deal, what about people that have pop ups disabled? they would not be able to see your site!
I just think you should rethink what you are trying to do.
