Why are you using TIFF's in the first place? TIFF's are not webpage friendly and seem to neverwork on most browsers since it depends on the person's computer and the server you are running off of if I rememeber correctly. browsers (at least most of them) don't know how to display TIFF and will hand you a download link instead (or a large cross or whatever to indicate failure to render).
