How can I get rid of the horizontal scroll bar, when using 800x600

Hi Ranch mates,
I am using a table(s) of fixed width 770 pixels in the body as follows:

<table border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" width="770">

<table border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" width="770">

When viewing with 1024 X 768 there is no horizontal bar. But with 800 X 600 resolution it shows up. I have the content in a fixed width table of 770 pixels. It should fit in 800x600 resolution with no horizontal scroll bar.
May I know the reason why? Also please anybody tell me how can I get rid of this horizontal scroll bar using 800x600 resolution by keeping the table width as 770px.

With style="overflow-x:hidden", I lost the horizontal scrollbar completely. I need the scroll bar when the browser width shrink to less than 770px. How can I do this?

Easy Solution..reduce your table by 2-5 px.
