Job Description:
Responsible for the design, development and deployment of new ISR system for a key customer. Global Reconnaissance Information Tool (GRIT) is a new web-based ISR allocation support tool, allowing Combatant Command (COCOM) representatives, Joint Staff, Combat Support Agency and Joint Functional Component Command-Intelligence, Surveillance and reconnaissance (JFCC-ISR) representatives the ability to manage the scheduling, reporting and monitoring of Sensitive Reconnaissance Operations (SRO) missions world-wide. GRIT will allow theater Joint Reconnaissance Centers, the Joint Staff Reconnaissance Operations Directorate, and the JFCC-ISR to generate and view daily/weekly/monthly reconnaissance schedules; maintain near real-time status for all SRO missions world-wide; maintain global platform, track and mission data for research and report generation.
Required Skills:
***Must have a current Secret clearance***, This position requires an individual with experience in Enterprise
Java application development. Ideal candidate will have 2+ years of J2SE Swing/AWT experience as well as several years of
J2EE design and development experience employing SQL and
JDBC. Must have proven experience in object-oriented analysis and design with UML. Successful candidate must be able to take requirements and produce UML-based design documents. Must have well grounded understanding of the software engineering life-cycle and process improvement initiatives. Ideal candidate will have experience in both CMMI and agile methodologies such as XP, Scrum, and Crystal Clear. Position requires an individual who can work closely with team members, lead software engineering tasks, communicate effectively and demonstrate the ability to be a self-motivator, be enthusiastic; team-building attitude is required., Ability to operate independently and communicate effectively, both internally with technical staff, peers, and management as well as externally with customers. Must be familiar with all phases of software development life cycle.
Desired Skills:
Experience in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) programming/development, to include displaying and manipulating data on digital maps. Thorough understanding of the design concepts of Web application development. Solid experience with Oracle database. Experience working with
JBOSS application server, Web services, SOA, Oracle HTML DB, and Sun Solaris operating system. Working knowledge of
Ant, TeamWare, XML, and Rational tools is desirable. Experience working for the Intelligence Community is highly desirable.
Education:
B.S degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
