Problem using DIV tag

Hi,
I want to do something like:
On click of a link (say "Directory"), some child links should open (say showing the subdirectory or file listings, as in windows explorer).

Can I use DIV tag for the same? If yes, how? It will be helpful if u provide some example.

If you want to do it yourself, it is rather easy.
