Major NYC financial firm is seeking an Architect Guru to evolve the existing software and systems infrastructure into a flexible, high-performance computing platform that can support complex asset classes, facilitate business-process automation and quantitative modeling. Provide technical expertise and guide the team in the implementation of distributed transactional applications/application services that shall form the CDO platform.
Requirements:
�8 to 12 years of software development experience with at least 4 years recent background in instituting architecture of distributed applications, including Intranet Web Applications, using the J2EE Platform.
�Well versed in architectural philosophies (i.e. OOD, EDA, SOA, BPM, etc.)
�Ability to eloquently articulate architectural decisions based upon past experiences and intuitive/innovative application of knowledge. Ability to conceptualize and innovate architectural concepts.
�Strong knowledge/implementation experience in the J2EE Platform.
�Knowledge of User Interface technologies (i.e. RIA, DHTL/JavaScript, Ajax, etc.) Must be proficient with UML, standard GoF and J2EE design patterns
�Hands-on knowledge of Java and Enterprise Java Technologies (EJB, JMS, JTS, JTA, JNDI, JDBC, JSP, Servlets, RMI, etc.), BEA WebLogic, XML/XML Schema/XSLT, RDBMS (Oracle or Sybase).
�Experienced in project life cycle procedures (i.e. Waterfall and Agile) with understand the application/nuance of one approach verses the other.
Pluses
�Familiarity with .Net platform
�Knowledge of fixed-income such as derivatives within the context of securitization (ABS, MBS, CMBS, CMO etc), Risk Reporting, portfolio risk management (both credit and market), data needs associated with price, ratings (S&P, Moody's, Fitch), default-time-probabilities, asset-indicative data (Intex, Bloomberg, LoanX), etc.
�Exposure to industry standard metadata models like FpML, MDDL, FIX

Fixed Income background is a requisite.
Compensation to $350k DOE. Must be based and eligible to work in the US (no exceptions).
