We have been retained to find java/J2EE expertise in conjunction with Financial Services.

The positions are for team leads (technical) and developers for front office and middle office trading systems for a major professional services firm onsite at a customer location (large investment bank). Activities will involve gathering requirements, doing designs and enhancing these applications. The technologies involved are Java (for middleware); C# or applet (for front end) and other EAI tools (like MQ Series). Deep expertise in these technologies are pre-requisite (esp. Java and C#) and an understanding of Capital Markets is a nice to have. Experience level between 3+ years in development/design.

Technical focus is on:

- Low level java behaviour in terms of methods, inheritance, scope etc.

- Threading

- API and designing clear API's.

- Database modeling

- Synchronisation and threading

- Deployment choices.

- The choices between web client, applet/flash clients and a thick clients such as swing.

- Swing and usage of models to filter data

- Security and SSO
