Hi,

I am having a problem in opening a csv(comma separated file or even a xls file) in browser.
what I am trying to do is on the click of a button I should get a new browser window and excel embedded into it and I should be able to see my data in it.
But eventhough I set my content type to 'application/vnd.ms-excel' it opens up a window and shows the data as if it was a text file.
I really appreciate any help

Thanks
Raj

I haven't verified your content type setting, and this might seem like a really simple question, but have you verified that Excel (.xls) documents open in the web browser on the computer you're testing this on? I also assume you're using MSIE (Firefox doesn't seem to display CSV files in anything other than plain text format).
