Our Client, a financial services company, is looking for a high-energy, solid J2EE developer to help develop the next generation of straight-through-processing solutions. In this high-visibility position you'll work with top-notch business analysts to define and deliver cutting-edge financial services products to the biggest names in the industry.

Status Contract to Hire or Direct
Work Location: Pembroke, MA - OR - Burlington, MA

The ideal candidate for this position has 5+ years development experience heavily weighted toward workflow, messaging and data management in application server environments. J2EE, EJB, and JDBC required. Multi-lingual, multi-platform - Java/C++ on Windows and UNIX platforms. XML/XSL required. Must have outstanding design and documentation skills, expert level understanding of distributed processing, multi-threading, and RDBMS issues. Should have demonstrable successes in delivering code in high-availability, high-performance projects. This is a development role and will be expected to produce a lot of code.

Experience with multiple databases required - SQL Server, Oracle are best. FIX/FIXML, SWIFT, Oasys and/or other financial services messaging expertise very helpful. JBoss, Tomcat, Weblogic experience very helpful. Understanding of good OO design practices and software development methodologies is essential. Good communication skills, flexibility and a focus on producing finished code. Demonstrated ability to understand unusual business processes and complex data flows.
