All,

How to create javascript frames and how to integrate html pages into frames?
Example:
Please go to :http://www.integrativenutrition.com/graduates/ckowarick.aspx

On above website if you go to any page, they don't change top header and left side of the page. I want to do similar thing, i want web page header and left navigation bar should not repeat or chage if you do to different pages of website. Someone told me that using javascript you can create frames and integrate html pages. But how? Any opensource code or tutorials on that?

Thank you,
angela

All they're doing on that site is using the same header and sidebar for each page so that it does not appear to change.

There are number of way to achieve what you are asking about though. The easiest and most common is to use an iframe for the changing content.

Another, much more complicated way, would be to use Ajax to fetch new content from the back-end and replace the changing content of the page.

P.S. the iframe can also be referenced in the target attribute of forms and links.
